In this video, I want to address two important things with you. The first is to comment on the true meaning of what this Fraternity Campaign, organized by the CNBB, should be, titled Fraternity and Overcoming Violence. And at the end of this video, I will give away three books, just like this one, Meditations for Lent by Saint Thomas Aquinas, which will provide important reflections for you to meditate on during this significant time leading up to Good
Friday and Palm Sunday. Every year we know we have to put up with this Fraternity Campaign during the period leading up to Easter. We don't know who comes up with this: whether it's the bishops of the CNBB, their advisors, or whoever. But it comes out of there, from the CNBB; it's distributed to all the dioceses, they make their respective adaptations, and we have to swallow it, recite that prayer at the end of Mass, and sing the little song,
right? Do you remember that last year's Fraternity Campaign talked about biomes and the defense of life? It seems people forgot about the defense of life and focused only on the biome. There was that one in 2014 that caused a total uproar, talking about the freedom for which Christ has set us free, and it also had certain connotations regarding gender identity. And every time we pick up these booklets, look at the basic text, and analyze the thing,
there's always liberation theology, a leftist reading of the Bible, always a political interpretation of the matter. So much so that I was looking at the CNBB website just now, and to my surprise, I saw they have already defined the theme for next year's Fraternity Campaign. Fraternity and Public Policies. Man, nobody can stand this anymore. So, now we are going to understand what theme the CNBB should actually be addressing. And when the
faithful go to church and hear this theme, "overcoming violence," what do they expect? They expect to hear about the more than 70,000 homicides that occur in Brazil every year. They expect to hear about the violence that happened, for example, during this Carnival, to people who were assaulted, raped, robbed, killed, etc. They expect to hear about, even and especially, the Christians who are persecuted all over the world. Christian persecution rose
last year by 2017%. And among the 10 countries where Christians are most persecuted, nine of them are Muslim countries. This isn't prejudice, it's not Islamophobia, or any of that. This is called reality. It is what is happening. Look at what happened, for example, in Germany, in the city of Cottbus. There were 3,000 people from the city itself protesting that they don't want any more immigrants. That imbecile Angela Merkel just keeps
sending immigrants over without any criteria, and all sorts of people get in. Good people get in, and completely mindless people get in who only go there to cause trouble. Or as happened in Italy, that girl who was assaulted, raped, and killed by an immigrant. For example, in Germany again, which is one of the most affected countries, sexual crimes from 2013 to 2016 rose 500%—do you know what that means? It's an exorbitant number. And 50%of the sexual
crimes being committed in Germany today , according to the German state itself, 50%of them are committed by immigrants, who represent 5%of the population. In other words, we have 5%of the population committing 50%of the crimes. Which leads us to the exorbitant and simple conclusion that immigrants have a direct correlation with the increase in crime, increase in rape, increase in violence, increase in terrorist attacks , which is also happening in countries
like France. And to top it all off, Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, comes along to say that Western democracy is completely compatible with Islam. Folks, look at the state of things that are happening in the world. This is what should be the theme of the CNBB in the fraternity campaign. Of course, I said, carnival mentioned other things. We have to pray for all issues, yes, but mainly for this one, for the violence against Christians.
Doesn't the fraternity campaign verse say, you are all brothers? Well, Saint Paul also said that we have to help everyone, especially those of the faith . I haven't seen a mention from the CNBB talking about the persecuted Christians who are being killed at a rate of more than 100,000 per year. Where is that? Could it be that the CNBB isn't worried about Christians who are persecuted in universities here in Brazil too because of their faith? The
CNBB launches this thing, provides a base text, and right there in the base text, the CNBB mentions the issue of gender and such. And that leaves room for all kinds of adaptation, like this booklet here from the diocese of Apucarana, which is a diocese right next to Londrina. And you can read on page 14 that they criticize capitalist society, consumer society. You see, folks, it's the kind of thing that will actually prevent violence, because it
will raise the social level, the economic level of people, and will allow people to steal less. To provide context, they are talking here about the Stations of the Cross. In the sixth station, Veronica wipes the face of Jesus. They made a mistake here, it's not "wipes," it's "wipes." Today, brothers, we are called to look with compassion and solidarity at our brothers and sisters suffering gender violence. Yeah, brothers or sisters or
sister, I don't know, man. They don't even know what gender is. Folks, this thing here is an aberration. What gender violence, man. Define whether it's a man or a woman. And continuing the Way of the Cross, they mention here in the eighth station, Jesus consoles the women. Then there’s a text here about domestic violence. It says here that men are potential aggressors of women and says that we have to offer prayers and everything to change the
structure and build a new idea regarding the feminine figure. What new idea is this? CNBB or the Diocese of Apucarana? I don't know who changed the original here. What kind of idea is this? What could this be? Is it a new idea according to feminists, like Judith Butler, that crowd, or is it according to our dear Mother Mary? 13th . Jesus is taken down from the cross. And having everything to do with it, they ask us to foster economic
development. Except that in the other station, they had criticized capitalist society. I just don't know how they're going to do that, but okay. It says we have to foster economic development and promote equality between genders. There must be equality between genders. And then they continue that carrying the body of Jesus to the tomb should be the commitment to give back to suffering brothers the chance to resurrect their identity. Which identity? Gender, as
mentioned here earlier, or the identity that the Church teaches? The identity that Jesus taught. When you get to the end of the mass, the priest goes to pray the official prayer of the CNBB, you pray what is here in the booklets of your prayer that is distributed to everyone. And when you pray this, what are you doing? You are endorsing all of this nonsense, both by commission for the absurd things they did, and by omission for what they did not include
in this booklet that. It should have included the persecution of Christians, the cultural persecution of Christians, the death, the violence, all this issue of Islamic violence that has been happening against Christians in the world, against non-Christians as well. That is what should be being addressed, but no. The thing now is to talk about gender violence. Gender. So enough with the nonsense. Look, you
are not obligated to follow this here, this immense confusion. Let's trade the old for the new. Look, now we take this right here. Saint Thomas Aquinas, meditations on Lent.
